My indicator index for my Shimano gear shift broke. Glueing it back together did not work. So I made a replacement. See photos for the original one at the top and my replicas below.
Fits nicely into the notch of the gearbox.
Printing recommendations:
- Use a small nozzle to get the details right. Otherwise it won't fit into the notch. I used a 0.25
- Print material PETG or Nylon
- After print: Use a heater - i used a hair dryer - to make the band flexible again. Once it's soft, wrap it around handle with approx 2cm in diameter.. This will make sure that the piece fits better into the gear change handle of you bike
- The lower part should be printed in black. To increase visibility print the prism part at the top with a bright color. Or simply use some nail polish
Version changes:
v2: made the triangle for the notch smaller by 0.05mm to make it fit better
