Just to share an idea. I apoligize for the low resolution photos.
I have a steel rod (7mm) that I wanted to use together with my film clips, so I made a holder for it. Fits nicely to one of the water pipes (16mm) in my darkroom.
Use a cable tie to secure it.
Straight to print, no support.
