I made this to replace the clip on my cabinet trashcan setup. The files I have here are with 90% infill (strength) and supports everywhere. I recommend PETG for strength. I did not have to use any glue to put it on the end of the rod. I did have to open it up a little bit with a drill, but it was still snug enough to take effort to remove.
The rods I designed this for are Ø5.49mm There is enough meet on the rod end side to put it on a larger rod.
Let me know if you reduce the infill and still get good results.
