Inspired by the Ketchup Bottle Connector. I liked the anti-drip feature of the old bottle and wanted to keep that.
The newly bought bottle of washing-up liquid unfortunately didn't have it, but the screw tops were clearly the same size. Because the form of the bottles was different, the bottle caps couldn't simply be exchanged — the liquid needed to be transferred from the new bottle to the old. So a ‘bottle connector’ was necessary.
Reverse engineering the thread proved to be tricky, but eventually figured out what standard was used for the plastic bottles (SP410, SP – 410 Voluntary Standard). A thread pitch of 4,2 mm worked.
