Updated 12/23/23: Made the front hole for 8mm screw slightly smaller and added chamfer for ease of starting the fastener. Also made both halves identical. The head of the m3 button head will fit in the hex hole so now there is only a single piece. You will need 2 of them to make one clip.
This is a two piece megatree stabilizer that is designed to work with 1" spacing and with its two piece design it can be added after the pixels are pushed. I used 20 ga braided steel wire from Menards.
Hardware:
1 - m3 x 25
1 - m3 hex nut
1 - m3 x 8mm
Preassembly can be done in the house out of the cold with the 25 mm fastener and nut. Add them to the cable, and then put on the strip and tightened up. It is much easier to get the cable through off the tree! The m3x8 fastener should self thread in the hole on the back to act as a set screw and maintain spacing on strips.
