The backstory:
Tasked with the challenge of mounting a compact 5-port switch in our attic to facilitate network connectivity for our office outlet and Wi-Fi access points, I found myself with a Zyxel GS-105B at my disposal. With little time to spare, I quickly assessed its dimensions and set out to create a solution that would serve our needs efficiently.
The product:
Behold this modest yet functional creation, tailored specifically to accommodate the Zyxel GS-105B switch and ensure seamless integration into our attic setup. Designed with practicality in mind, it features a versatile orientation, allowing cables to enter from the bottom or top as needed. Utilizing the force of gravity, the switch is securely held in place, providing peace of mind that it will remain undisturbed in its attic abode.
What's in it for you:
Whether you're a seasoned network aficionado or a DIY enthusiast looking to optimize your home setup, this little abomination – as affectionately coined – promises reliability and efficiency in equal measure. Say goodbye to cumbersome mounting solutions and hello to streamlined functionality with this bespoke creation.
Feedback is appreciated:
As with any DIY endeavor, your feedback is invaluable. Should you choose to embark on a similar project or have suggestions for improvement, I welcome your insights and contributions to refine this solution further.
Feel free to modify:
Adaptability is key, and this design embraces it wholeheartedly. Whether you opt for the original orientation or decide to flip it upside down, rest assured that this creation is versatile enough to accommodate your specific needs with ease.
