This part is designed to allow for the filament to be guided to the, Elegoo Neptune 2, filament sensor with a better approach angle. This does cause the print to loose 1 to 3 mm in the z axis max. This will be fixed in the next update. The part uses this outside parts:

*********** STL Files need to be resized to 1000% in order for correct alignment************

Other material:

2 - PTFE PC4-M10 Fitting (1 pass through and one stopper can also be used.)

1 - zip-tie (Should be around 6 to 8 inches in length.)

1 - PTFE tubing (any brand will work, should be approximately 14 inches in length.)

Print Settings

Elegoo Neptune 2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Doesn't Matter (Filament Sensor Topper does need support)

Resolution:

200

Infill:

15

Filament:

HATCHBOX PLA

Orange

Notes:

I used 0.2 resolution with the PLA I had on hand. I would recommend using PETG. The infill should not matter unless the resolution is changed, as the part is thin enough to be almost solid infill.

The Filament Sensor cap piece uses supports on it.

Post-Printing

Attaching to the Printer.

After printing the part, attach it to the frame by:

Screw in the PTFE tube locks on each part in the 9.5 mm hole.

Removing the top frame piece (The one with the logo on it.)

Press fit the part onto the T-slot frame, with the z-axis lead screw behind it. (It should be snug.)

Replace the top frame on the printer.

Place the top support piece on the top frame, between the two M5 screws on the left.

Rotate the part 90 degrees, so that the two small holes are aligned to the outside of the printer.

Attach the zip tie between the two parts and snug the parts together.

Attach the Filament Sensor cap piece by removing the two screws holding the filament sensor down.

Align the Sensor cap and replace the screws and sensor to the original position.

(The screw can be replaced with longer ones, but there should be enough grip for the

original ones to work.)

  1. Attach the PTFE tubing between the two locks you are using.
