Requirements

You first need to make sure this pot fits your balcony handrail:

  • Distance between bars: 105mm
  • Size of bars: 18mm x 18mm
  • Smaller bars may be compensated with more anti-slip material.

Materials

  • Ca. 315 g of filament (tested with Sunlu PLA+)
  • Four M4x16 bolts and nuts
  • Four patches of anti-slip material, roughly 18mm x 18mm and half a mm thick.
  • Some superglue

How to build

  1. Print the pot and two clamps. For the pot, use relatively thick layers and at least 3 contours, more is better for water tightness.
  2. Glue thin anti-slip material (roughly half a mm) on the inside of the clamps and on the outside of the pot between the bolt holes.
  3. If you want one, print the inlay without contours, base and top layer, in a gyroid pattern and 10% infill. This gives a bit of distance between the water reservoir and the soil.
  4. Plant your flower.
  5. If the spout causes water to drop where you don't want it, print the extension piece and clip it onto the spout.

Fits on a Prusa Mini (18cm cubed print space)
