To print:
- Slice and print Part A
- Slice Part B, adding a pause (M601) at 24.2mm
- Start printing Part B
- When the print pauses, drop Part A on top of Part B so that it fits in the notches
- Resume the print
The resulting print will consist of both parts fused together.
I'm pretty sure this approach could be extended to produce more dramatic effects, like a floating 90° overhang using something like a dove tail joint.
