This roller uses a Japanese design, with the roller perpendicular to the handle. It's great when using it on beds and couches, but there's no way to put it down without getting the paper stuck somewhere. This allowed us to stand it on end, is always attached, and doesn't affect the lint rolling.
Feel free to modify it for your own purposes, like paint rollers or other tools with curves in them.
Printing tips
This can be built with the long slot vertical. It snaps into place, but would break if you try and snap it off.
