My take on a simple bedside shelf!

Since I don't have a lot of room for a bedside table, I designed a small bedside shelf! I used two strips of double sided tape for mounting and it hasn't fallen off, though I added a version with m3 bolt support for anyone who doesn't want to risk their shelf (and watch/phone) dropping!

Theres two variants:

Standard:

  • Simply mount it with double sided tape

Version 2:

  • comes with countersunk holes for m3 bolts (if you wan't to drill it into the wall)
  • a little bit harder to print

Print instructions:

Since the shelf is printed upside down, you can have some cool textures/reflections when using concentric (and/or monotonic) bottom layers.

IMO it looks better with a textured bed but smooth PEI and other surfaces work well too!

If you use double sided tape, use some sandpaper on the back to help the tape stick onto the model, 60-180 grid should be fine. I didn't bother but I press the shelf onto the wall every other week or so.

Layer height:0.16-0.26mm (0.2-0.28mm first layer)
Support:None
Infill: 8-15% rectilinear/grid
Material:   Any!

Changelog:

v1.0 (11.01.24):
  • used it for about half a year at home
  • Release!

To-do List:

  • Make remixes with different magnet holes for addons like hooks!
  • Leave your suggestions in the makes/comments section!
