A functional eyewash dust cover. Just a lightweight cap with a flexible tether. Shown in “this filament came with my printer” gray next to a commercial product in yellow.

The motivation is that professionally made covers cost $8.00 and upward for an embarrassingly simple product, and the tethers tend to break under normal use. This model cost about $0.06 in material and doesn't require stretching the ring over a pipe to fit the dust cap.

The main design features is a single-wall thickness cap for minimum weight and a push-on connector for a 1in pipe that can be easily removed. There are geometric differences for printing.

UPDATE 20240125

The whip-style tether has been made wider and shorter based on user feedback. This is still being tested.

A chain-able version has been added. There are simple links, so the print can be adapted to the desired length of slack for the particular eye-wash station. This is being tested for fitness for purpose.
