This model, when compared to my original, is thinner and overall less bulky, but doesn't compromise on securely fastening the airtag. It still uses threads to lock the airtag in place and has battery access while inside the case. Its also updated to not be so tight with the threads, so regardless of slicing tolerance, it shouldn't be so hard to open or close.
