The ‘Victoper’ front light that I bought for my bike came with a couple of nice metal clamps, and a few spacers to suit different handlebar diameters. Unfortunately, none of the spacers were suitable for my handlebars, which are 1" diameter at the centre where they pass through the stem - the big spacers were for a smaller handlebar diameter, and the smaller ones were for bigger diameters.
So I made my own bespoke spacers using OpenSCAD, and I made the script fully configurable so that it can generate other sizes of spacer.
The included STL is the one I made for my front light, with the following configured dimensions:
ID = 25.4;//handlebar diameterOD = 36;//internal diameter of clamp, in closed positionlip = 1;//height of lip either side of clamp. Width of lip is twice this value to allow for 45 degree chamferwidth = 10;//width of clamp
gap = 6;//gap between ends of spacer
N.B. If you don't need the lip either side of the clamp, just set the value of ‘lip’ to zero.
I printed mine in TPU so that the spacers conform nicely to the clamp shape and so that they grip the handlebars firmly. I used 100% infill so that they don't crush too much under the clamps. The lips either side of the clamp are chamfered at 45 degrees so that they print without supports.
