This dragon muzzle for the Gryphon Nerf blaster is printed in two parts and secured with M3 hardware.
The Gryphon Nerf blaster can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/208101-the-gryphon-foam-dart-blaster/
Note that this muzzle requires a “2S Motor Cover” or a “Motor Cover(Bottom Picatinny)” to attach.
Print the Dragon_Base_Gryphon part with the flat side facing down and no supports.
Print the Dragon_Muzzle_Gryphon part with the flat side down and lots of support. A 3mf file is attached with the following settings that worked for me in PLA:
- 0.6 mm nozzle (0.4 is probably fine)
- 0.15 mm layer height
- support overhang threshold to ~75
- support XY separation to ~40%
- Supports touching build plate
- Clean up with paint on support blockers
Assembly + Hardware Requirements:
- Ensure a flush fit between the dragon head and dragon base. Some light filing/sanding may be required to achieve this flush fit depending upon printer settings.
- Insert two M3 square nuts (hex nuts will still work) into the slots on the flat face of the dragon head.
- Secure the dragon base part to the Gryphon's front with three M3x12-14mm screws.
- Secure the dragon head to the dragon base by putting two M3x12mm screws through holes in the side of the dragon.
