An updated firefly shell caddy to go directly on molle, instead of a belt. Based on Accipiter Tachiro's design, bu i've removed the need for the seperate mounting block, as i goes directly on molle instead.
Currently yhe only version updated is the 6 shot single, as that gives the best flexibility in loadout, and highest capacity, but other options can be made, if there's interest.
Material list and Instructiosn written by the original designer
Material List (per caddy-mounting plate set)
- 3mm elastic paracord / bungee cord (around 8mm for Single and 14mm for Twin)
- 3x M3x4mm
- Wire Hanger or other metal rod < 3mm in diameter (22.5mm for Single, 77.5mm for Twin)
Instructions
1) Take your printed parts and make sure there are no sharp edges.
2) Screw a M3x4mm screw into the hole near the top of the Pressure Tab.
3) Align the Pressure Tab(s) into the groove in the center of the Caddy, and thread the Wire Hanger/metal rod though the holes as an axle. Use the last 2 M3x4mm screws on either end of the axle hole to prevent the wire hanger from escaping.
4) Thread the elastic through the Caddy and the hole on the back of the Pressure Tab, using the holes on the front of the Caddy as anchor points. The Pressure Tab should hold its position away from the back wall of the Caddy, and have resistance to being moved forward.
