This is a model of a reciprocating motion mechanism. The model shows conversion of rotary motion to a linear motion - An application used in various forms of Engines. This is model can be a useful tool for educational purposes.
This is an easy to print model. All parts except the piston can be printed without support. The piston requires support for the connecting lever.
There are three locking collars. Use 2 for the connecting rod linkage at the wheel side (one on either side) and use 1 for locking it on the piston side.
A bit of force or a mallet will be required to attach the base plate (has to be tight enough not to move around).
