I have created my own version of the SolderM8 tool
FYI:
A pair of rubber bands is needed for the device to press the LED string and wire together.
SolderingTemplateBase.stl is a template that allows you to create a metal part that will prevent the plastic from deforming right where the heat from the soldering iron will be generated. You can also print that part with any heat resistant material such as ABS or polycarbonate.
