In my quest to make the Necchi Supernova into my ultimate zigzag sewing machine, I decided to add a thread cone holder to the machine's top. It prints in three pieces, without support:
- A double peg piece fits the machine's spindle holes
- The peg supports a base platform on which the cones sit
- Standing off the base, an arm guides the thread upward off the cones, then back down to the machine
The assembled holder requires six vitamins:
- Two 1/8" rods to use as spindles
- Two #2 cup hooks to serve as thread guides
- One TV antenna with a 7 mm tip (model can be adjusted to fit a different antenna)
- One #2 wood screw to hold the antenna onto the back of the base
