I was asked to design and print some emergency stop covers for the lab where I work. The covers are designed to be rugged enough to cope with students “mishandling” them, and also have text which can be printed with the button, or this text can be omitted leaving recesses that can be filled with paint.
Hinges are long M5 grub screws driven into the printed button cover through the holes in the base.
