PrusaXL Adjustable Idler Pressure with 3 step pressure adjust, without changing springs tension.
Redesigned the clamping hinges and replaced the steel spacer with a dial, supporting 3 levels of adjustment. Three dials are available with 0.08mm, 0.100mm and 0.200mm pressure reducing steps
level 1-identical to original, dial needs to be installed as advised and be upwards
level 2-one step/increment lower
level 3-two step/increment lower
I started testing the 0.100mm step dial, and will refine it. I hope this will allow printing flex without cheating the sensors. If it does not work, oh well will scrap it.
Note 1: the holes in all parts are tight but they remove the play between the parts and securely hold everything in place, while using the original screws and nuts.
Note 2: may work for MK4 but I have not upgraded my MK3S. . . . we'll see I guess.
Update March 03/2024: Printing Flexfill 98A works flawlessly with 0.100mm reducing step. The PTFE tube clamps/ arrangement may also help. For details see:
