This is a feather board design which uses off the shelf (not printed) replaceable foam feather board inserts.

Designed for use with mitre slots/t-track, or clamped to a fence. There are two mounting frame sizes, the larger frame has more adjustment and is intended to be used with mitre slots. The smaller frame has a smaller adjustment range and is meant to be used vertically clamped to a fence. However, both frames are interchangeable and can mount in either location.

The frames are designed to use a few purchased items. I have included Lee Valley links for my fellow Canadians, should be easy enough to find the items at retailers in other countries as well.

  • Replaceable foam inserts

  • ¼" T-Track bolts, 1.5" long

  • ¼-20 knob.
    • Smaller is better here, the ones that I purchased are a bit large and may interfere with bigger stock if I am at the upper adjustment limit of the fence feather board. Could also just use standard ¼ hardware, just be careful not to over-tighten, these don't need to be clamped down hard to stay in position.

Print Specifics:

  • I used PETG as that is what I typically print with these days, other filament types should work without issue
  • Infill of 30%
  • No supports are required for any of the items, just make sure you orient the prints on the bed correctly.
