I have to change the diameter of the nozzle from time to time because I sometimes have to print quite small objects. Instead of changing the nozzle, I then completely change the hotend assembly. To avoid losing the elements that make up the hotend assembly, I decided to create a storage box for the different elements. As I have two 3D printers, I created two different inserts, one for the Prusa MK4 and one for the Anycubic Kobra 2. I also tested 2 different materials, PLA and PP (Polypropylene). PP is a quite interesting material but much more difficult to print. It doesn't stick well to the surface plate. You therefore need a surface plate suitable for this material. The compartment for receiving the screws is made up of two elements, the guide rail and the sliding window. The guide rail is printed separately and then glued with superglue to the surface of the insert. In fact it is not possible to print insert and guide at the same time because it is then necessary to provide a support which will subsequently be very difficult to remove.
