This is a small modular plate rack I designed to organize the plates in my cupboard.
it is designed with a 20mm space between each "spine", with a 10mm width and a 30° angle.
Each segment has 4 spaces for plates, and a front and/or back joint to connect it to other pieces, in particular:
- front only has the back joint
- back only has the front joint
middle has both the top of the joint is measured to receive an M3 nut, with the other piece sliding inside and an M3 bolt coming from under to secure. I used M3x16, without tightening all the way to have the bolt sit flush.
Two pieces are joined by a link that fits in the hole in the middle. All tolerances are 0.1mm which on my printer makes it fit snug.

Notes:
I printed in PLA on a 0.8mm nozzle, three perimeters, 20% infill for the link, the holders at 50% infill with a box modifier to fill at 100% the volume at the base of the spines. Probably a different material could use less infill.
Print holder flat on the side, while the link should be good to go as it is. No support required.Category: Kitchen & Dining
