The Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting.
Packs may hold a special ceremony to honor the Cub Scouts who have earned their Arrow of Light rank.
The Arrow of Light is also the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Scouts BSA uniform.
For my grandson's ceremony I created this model.
There are many options available to get the display you desire.
Files
AOL.3mf contains both Open and wBG Arrow Of Lights.
AOL_FullFrame.3mf is the frame/stand.
in addition I have I've included the Open Arrow, and wBG versions as stand-alone for anyone looking to quickly print just an Open Arrow, or plaque.
Directories
I've included the STL files, and a ‘Single’ version for a single tool-head with a manual filament change. In the Single version there are two .3mf files. The AOL and the Rim. The Rim is the same height as the AOL so it must be printed separately. The AOL is two colors, with a manual filament change.
The idea of the Single is to allow for using PrusaSlicer to load a file that you can then change printer and retain the filament change. You may need to resize it to fit the bed as well, but the .3mf provides a good starting point.
Printing Instructions
Print the AOL and AOL_FullFrame plates in the filament of your choice. The gcode files provided are for PLA.
Assembly
Glue the Open Arrow to the tabs in the FullFrame. Slide the Arrow with Background into the other side of the frame and align flush with face. This creates a two sided stand with enough room for candles on top. One side is raised lettering and the other is a 3D box. Adding some LED lights inside would make it a light-box.
For a shallow 3D look on the Open side push the Arrow with Background the way into the frame. This creates a shallow 3D look for the Open Arrow.
No Frame Options
Option 1: Print just the Arrow with Background. The frame could be made out of wood or a simple stand.
Option 2: Print both the Arrow with Background and the Open Arrow. Glue the Open Arrow to the backside of the Arrow with Background to create a 2 sided plaque.
