Turbine utilising a combination of direct impact and cross-flow propulsion.

This is based on the Ugrinsky turbine design with a simpler geometric construction composed of only circles.

The design spins well from breath power, but would probably need to be scaled up to generate useful amounts of electricity.

The most recent update of the model includes the following features:

  • 3 pass-through channels, and 3 collecting P-shaped blades
  • spherical path extrusion to provide a greater attack surface
  • 1 rotor base
  • 1 stator that captures 18 coil half-loops
  • 1 rotor magnet holder with 18 magnets arranged in opposing N/S directions
  • Output voltage (using 20 magnets in a Halbach array and 22 loops) ~0.03V (probably due to magnetic flux interference)
