I wanted to make my own flywheels (hey, why not, right?), and the Hurricane is an easy blaster to mod. I ended up going with a simple gear-like structure.
I'm getting about 77 fps average (over a couple dozen shots) with the larger flywheel. Max speed recorded was 82 fps. That's really close to what I get with the Worker upgrade flywheels. And it's better than the stock flywheels in terms of fps. Currently running the Hurricane with stock motors with an S2 lipo.
If you have a stock Hurricane, these flywheels will perform better than what comes in the blaster in terms of muzzle velocity. They are very close in performance to the upgraded flywheel set that Worker sells. As for accuracy, that is something I have not extensively tested, but I have not noticed these flywheels to perform worse than the Worker flywheels in that regard.
