This is a light-weight, easy to build solution for rack mounting Raspberry Pis. It is designed to be easily reconfigurable to support the ever changing nature of Pis and other small form factor SBCs. It doesn't require any threaded rods or similar for support, but instead uses an interlocking design in the 3D printed parts for a tight fit that adds rigidity. The parts are secured together with a single size of screw that can be easily sourced from Amazon.

It can support six Pis in 1U of rack space. There are trays designed to support Pi3/4 as well as Pi5 form factors. There are multiple mounting options for your Pis including through hole and threaded inserts. There are even options for mounting with “Bottom” hats such as the AI hat made by PineBoards.

Non-Printed Parts:
  • M2 x 8mm self tapping screws (amazon*)

If you wish to modify the design or design a new tray for your project, I've included a link to the OnShape document.

Note: This is still considered a work in progress. There are more features that I would like to add. If you have any ideas for new features, leave a comment and I will see what I can get to.
