With this simple mod, you can lift up the coffee filter/holder of the Dripster 3 so that you can brew two times to get a full bowl, without the coffee filter hanging in the finished cold brew coffee. It's just added between the dripper and the glass bowl.
Easy to print, Supports needed.
------
I would recommend the following to get a perfectly balanced cold brew (dripping, not full immersion):
- Add the extender between on top of the glass bowl.
- Fill up the coffee filter and place it in the extender
- Place the dripper on top and add water as you would normally do
- Set the dripper for the first batch of water to around 0.5 - 0.7 drops per second.
- After the water has run through completely, fill up the water reservoir.
- Set the dripper to 0.2 - 0.5 drops per second or a bit less.
- After the second batch of water finishes dripping, you should stir the cold brew once.
After that, you should get a nice balanced cold brew.
Please note: you may need to play around with the drops per second depending on the grind of your coffee and your taste.
