This bottle has a hidden message inside it that you can only find once you print it. A Makers Muse video inspired this idea:
Concept:
The concept is that 3D printers can't resolve details finer than the nozzle diameter, and slicers know this. So, if a feature or wall is too thin, it will omit it from the sliced G-Code. You may have noticed this when printing small text on the horizontal plane. This model works by covering the text with an extremely thin wall. This way, the slicer ignores it, and your printer prints the secret message.
Filaments used:
- Left: ProtoPasta Wonder Blue HTPLA
- Center: ProtoPasta Citrus Sunrise HTPLA
- Right: ProtoPasta Nebula HTPLA
Versioning:
- Version 1: This version has external walls 4mm thick and doesn't have the second secret message
- Version 2: This version has a conical sort of geometry for the internal bottle, making it easier to print at high speeds with reduced risks of layer shifts. This is also 30% larger than Version 1. This one might have a second secret message…
Print settings:
- Nozzle diameter: 0.6mm
- Layer height: Variable (0.1-0.3mm)
- Infill: 5% Gyroid
How to find the secret message:

After printing, three small tabs on the bottom of the print need to be cut. I recommend using side cutters. After this, the cylinder at the bottom of the print should be easily removed. On the side of the cylinder is the secret message.
There may be a second secret message somewhere…
