I never seem to have enough spools to put new color filament on. Instead of buying them I just decided I would print them as needed. This spool is designed to work with the Inland Spoolless filament.
The spool core diameter is 3.6 inches.
The outside diameter of the reel is 7.825 inches.
The inner hubber is 2.0 inches.
Print two of these spools and secure them together with a couple ¼-20 x 1.25 inch bolt.
Print with your standard PLA settings and 15% infill.
