Update: I have designed a new and better drawer layout. You can check it out here.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The drawers for the US General v2 Toolbox fit Gridfinity baseplates in a 13x11 layout. On the sides there will be a 20mm gap, and on the bottom you'll be 4mm short of being able to add a 12th row of bins.

However, for perfect bin placement, you don't want the bins to be all the way to the left or right of the drawer. This is because the drawers are folded metal for rigidity, which means the bins bump into the side of the drawer, like this:

The other problem is similar - the drawers have metal latches to attach them to the rails. They also interfere with bins and baseplates:

The ideal solution adds a spacer that centralizes the bins in the drawer. What I've done is create two 10mm strips that are added to both sides of the baseplate grid to keep it centered. This generates the following end result:

Caveats from my solution

This still does not resolve the issue at the back of the drawer. Tall bins won't work in the first row because of the bent metal. it's actually deeper than the sides. I just solved it by using lower bins at the back of the drawer. In my example the tall ones don't snap into the baseplates because of the bent back of the drawer.
