With a single strip of double-sided tape, my Nest Doorbell fell off the wall, the first time someone rang. With this baseplate, there is more contact area for more tape-strips plus it prevents the (angled) Doorbell from getting pushed to the side / more easily ripping off the double-sided tape.
No additional hardware beyond the double-sided tape needed. All screws etc. are the hardware from the doorbell package. See pictures.
