Darth Tenebris

Darth Tenebris was an ancient Sith Lord who vanished from the known galaxy long before the rise of the Empire. He belonged to a lineage of Sith that predated the Sith Empire and the Rule of Two. These ancient Sith were not bound by the same master-apprentice dynamic and and sometimes existed in loose coalitions, vying for power and knowledge of the dark side.

Tenebris was rumored to have mastered obscure Sith rituals and techniques including Sith Alchemy, a dark science that allowed Sith to manipulate life and death. He was also said to have had an unusually strong connection to the Force nexus on the Sith world of Korriban.

When Darth Vader was tasked with establishing the Inquisitorius, he became obsessed with uncovering every possible advantage the dark side could offer. Through his studies of Sith Lore, Vader came across fragments of information about Darth Tenebris and his mastery of the Force.

Intrigued, Vader dispatched probes to the remote corners of the galaxy where Tenebris was rumoured to have been last seen. After a long and difficult search, Vader’s agents discovered Tenebris on the forgotten world of Zemphos.

Tenzbris was an extremely old being by the time Vader found him. His body was frail and wracked with pain, but his connection to the Force remained potent. Vader offered Tenebris a chance to cheat death in exchange for his aid in training the Inquisitors. Tempted by the dark side’s promise of immortality, Tenebris agreed.

Despite his physical limitations, Darth Tenebris proved to be an invaluable asset to Vader. He instructed the Inquisitors in ancient Sith techniques and rituals, and his understanding of the Force nexus on Korriban proved to be useful in corrupting Inquisitors and binding them further to the dark side.

Darth Tenebris’s presence was not without its drawbacks. His methods were brutal and often deadly, and more than one Inquisitor perished during his training exercises. Additionally, Tenebris’s lust for power never fully diminished. He constantly tested the limits of Vader’s control, and there were whispers among the Inquisitors that Tenebris was plotting to usurp Vader and claim the mantle of Dark Lord for himself.

In the end, Darth Tenebris’s greed proved to be his undoing. Sensing Tenebris’s ambitions, Vader struck first. He personally dueled and killed the ancient Sith Lord, absorbing whatever knowledge he could from his defeated enemy.
