Crystal Kraken Wall Art

Behold the Crystal Kraken!

This 3D printable wall art is a formidable fusion of geometry and marine mythos. With eight sleek, angular legs reaching outwards, each terminating in a pointed tip, this kraken captures the essence of a mythical sea beast. Its intricate design creates mesmerizing shadows and highlights, making it a striking centerpiece for any space brave enough to tame its gaze.

This marks my 4th and likely final design for the Geometric Wall Art competition.

Print settings/ Instructions

Default size of the kraken:  around 56cm x 57cm

There are 66 parts in total.

I made sure all parts have been scaled accordingly to fit a standard printer bed.

Each part has been labeled on the reverse side for easy reference. Please consult the assigned numbers in the accompanying PDF file (kraken_numbers.pdf).

To attach the pieces to the wall I would recommend Dual Lock Extra Strong Velcro Tape or any kind of double sided tape. Of course a glue gun would also work. You could also pre-glue all parts onto a large piece of cardboard, then trim the edges of the cardboard with a scalpel and mount the kraken as one unit.

I recommend minimum layer height of 0.20 mm and a minimum fill density of 15%. 

Supports are not required.
