Can you pack the six blocks into the box?
A simple but frustratingly deceptive puzzle!
This puzzle comprises of six identical block pieces. The blocks are also known as Tetracube - O Shape or Tetromino - O Shape, which are a 2 x 2 x 1 block.
They can be placed together into the empty box, which has a volume of 3 x 3 x 3.
3 x 3 x 3 = 27, is greater than 6 x each 2 x 2 x 1 piece = 24, so it should fit, but can you find the solution?
A more complex (5x5x5) version of this puzzle is known as John Conway's Shippers Dilemma. I'd upload a version once I've finished designing the box.
What to print:
6 x Puzzle Block.stl
1 x Puzzle Box.stl
1 x Puzzle Lid.stl
The models do not need supports and can be printed with standard settings. Advanced printers may want to iron the top surface to create a smoother look to the puzzle pieces.
Use multiple colours so that they can be distinguished or use a single colour for even more of a challenge (and print in one go).
For compatibility with all of my other models, print at 100% scale. If you scale any model, please remember the scaling factor and apply it to all models if you'd like them to be compatible.
How To Play:
Rotate and stack the blocks so they into the 3 x 3 x 3 box.
Have fun and see how many different ways you can find to arrange them!
