Representing the DC Universe, we have the Batman logo on display! The model is made up of three parts: A fancy-looking dish, a background, and the bat itself. The model was made to fit within the parameters of a 15cm x 15 cm box, and the stand supports the model at an angle of 60 degrees.

In this project, me and my partner, Sameera Sarin, designed identical-looking bats and collaborated on how we could make them more epic-looking using the 3-D modeling skills in SolidWorks.

These were the steps made to create the bat:

First, we started with nothing

Next, we made sure to copy the image onto the platform, save the image, and start shifting the dimensions of the image so they could fit

After that, we traced and outlined all the individual parts

Next, we extruded the outer box so that just the bat was left, and everything on the bat was offset 0.04 cm

Then, some fillets were put on to fancify the bat

Played around with the fillets some more

Next, we worked on coloring the bat as well as adding a dish in the back for dishification

Finally, the dish was created and a 60-degree stand was added for support, the color was all set, and the individual pieces were saved and set to export as 3mf's

After these pieces down below were printed out, we were set to assemble the bat(no extra tools were needed, just two strong hands):

First, take the black bat and connect it to the yellow background

Finally, take those connected pieces and snap them into the black dish

Voila, the bat is complete!
