I've been looking for the perfect toothbrush holder, that can hold my brush suspended, so that it wont sit in stale water, that usually accumulates in the bottom of the toothbrush cup.

The problem with this type of hanger is that it's easy to knock the brush out of it, especially if there are multiple brushes and you go in to hang your brush, when there is already another one. Maybe I'm just clumsy, but this happens to me regularly.

The solution

A holder that snaps onto the toothbrush!

I've gone through a lot of iterations and this is something I can consider almost perfect. Still, all toothbrushes are born different, so while the ones I tested fit nicely, your's may be too loose or too tight. That's why I'm releasing this model as a fully parametric Fusion 360 file.

Print instructions

Print with the clamp flat on the bed, mounting plate should be standing up. The 3mf files are already in the right orientation.

PLA+ 15% grid infill, 3 walls, 0.18 layer resulted in a pretty nice and stiff part.

Parameters

Primary

  • number_of_clamps – speaks for itself, adjust accordingly and print as a single part for however many toothbrushes you need.
  • opening_angle – the angle between the fingers of the clamp.
  • clamp_length – the length of the fingers.

Secondary

  • clamp_thickness – how wide the fingers are.
  • clamp_height – the height of the mounting fingers.
  • clamp_spacing – the space between clamps, if you have multiple.
  • mount_thickness – the thickness of the mounting plate at the back.
  • mount_height – the height of the mounting plate at the back, should be equal or more than the width of your double sided tape.
