I rather like the Art Deco style, so this is my attempt at an Art Deco vase.

The Vase is printed in Spiral/Vase mode, and I'd use a line width just under twice the nozzle size - so for a 0.4mm nozzle use a 0.7mm line width. Also add at least as many bottom layers to get between 3 and 5mm of a base (layer number depends on line height, which can be whatever you like).

For materials, well, anything really. Silk PLAs work well, so would something very Matte, it's entirely up to what you have and what effect you're after. I'm especially pleased with a slow-printed Transparent PETG as you can see above. Transparent PLA isn't as clear but has a nice translucency.

For the base, well truly anything - PLA, PETG, Wood, Marble, Stone, Silk etc. A standard 3/3/3 walls/top/bottom with 10% infill would be fine.

Resize them as you want - a pair of 75% I think are just the right size for a mantelpiece.

The vase should just drop into the base, so a spot of glue will keep it all together.

What vase/base combos will you come up with? Post a make!
