A very quick tweezer design that is fully adjustable and modifiable in all dimensions. Useful in a pinch (ha) but also fully modifiable in the F3D, allowing changes to all aspects of the desgn, from the opening size to the length to the thickness to the size of the ridges. Takes only a couple minutes to print and uses a tiny amount of filament. Tested with both PLA and PETG, both work very well.

There are two things to note about this design; the springiness is directly proportional to how far apart the ends are when they are printed. The closer they are to start, the less springy they will be. This also applies when changing the wall thickness; the thicker the walls, the more spring, but the longer it will take to print.

Parameters that can be changed in the F3D project:

  • Length
  • Wall Thickness
  • Grip Distance from Tip
  • Diameter of compression section
  • Height
  • Tip Spacing
  • Grip Size and length
