First off, this is not my original design - this is a remix of one I found on cults3d.com. The URL is provided.
I bought an X-Acto knife set from Amazon - https://shorturl.at/szFVZ and quickly noticed the inserts where the tools sit are awful. The ones in my kit were plastic and did not fit well. I finally found suitable replacements on the provided page at cults3d.com.
The first print was too big. The depth of the insert is several mils too big on the original design; with a little tinkering (I am new to all this), I was able to adjust the size of the inserts so they fit the box size I have. Note the resized versions fit tight and actually require no glue at all to hold in place.
Finally, I used 3mm magnets instad of a magnet strip. The 3mm magnets (shown in the pictures) need just a touch of glue for them to stay put. In my model I used some wood glue and they are holding just fine.
Overall this is a nice model - thanks to the original author (TheRealMapleSyrup at cults3d.com) for making this. As you can see in the picture the tools fit very nice.
