How to use:
You will need:
- One printed roof
- One printed trap
- One can of the cheapest, hoppyest beer/larger you can find.
- A glass (Optional)
No supports are needed with a 0.8 nozzle, I've not tried it with smaller. for a longer lasting trap, I recommend not using PLA.
- Open and decant the beer/larger into a glass/bottle.
- Remove the top of the can with a normal can opener, be careful of sharp edges.
- Return a few cm of beer/larger to the can. About a third works well
- Fit the roof to the base of the trap, should be a nice snug fit.
- Fit the trap to the top of the can, should also be nice and snug, if your can is a bit smaller, you can wrap electrical tape around the rim of the can.
- Burry the can in soil almost up to the rim, with the bar sticking out the top.
- Drink the beer/larger or store for refilling.
- Wait for night/wet weather and watch as slugs are attracted to the smell of the hops, enter the bar and fall in, drowning.
- When full, either remove the bar lid and throw away the can with its contents, or throw away the contents, refill and use again.
