My mother-in-law has a Ulu knife she got from one of her trips to Alaska. She had lost the stand for it and after seeing some of the items I had produced on my 3D printer, asked me to make a replacement.
I took the dimensions of the knife, determined the layout of the model on my notepad and created this model in Onshape.
Printed it out and it fits the knife pretty well.
Here are the printer settings I used:
Slicer: Cura 5.6
Initial Layer Height: 0.3mm
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Infill: 20% Cubic
Wall, Top, & Bottom Thickness: 1.2mm
Supports: No
Adhesion: Skirt
Material: Overture PLA Plus Black
Extruder Temp: 210 C
Bed Temp: 60 C
Total Filament Used: 115 grams
Note:
This project was designed in Onshape under a maker account. Per the terms of the account, this design cannot be commercially used. To learn about using Onshape, I recommend this series by Teaching Tech.
