If you want cheap but good arrows, you make them yourself. Aluminum is ideally suited for that. I like those carbon things but them are very expensive. Besides that, the extra weight is desirable with the heavy bows these days. It keeps your string in good condition much longer if it has to move weight. Another advantage is that the (cross)bow becomes much quieter. Other than that it has better penetration ability because of the extra mass. You compensate for the loss of speed with the draw weight of the bow. (If you really need to)

Aluminum arrows can become warped. Every advantage has its disadvantage.... Especially if you have to take them out of your target with brute force. The standard with 200+ pound bows these days. This print is made so you can figure out where the thing is crooked. With a few thumps in the right place, that can be fixed and you have a straight arrow again.

Best print this out of TPU so it gets a clamp fitting. You could print the axles. But usually a piece is left over from a 2-meter end aluminum. I used that. Convenience serves man :)

Additional supplies:

  • 8mm aluminum pipe + pipe cutter from AliExpress (I'm really impressed with the quality for the prize)
  • ball bearings from AliExpress (Less impressed but they will do the job).
