A small runner that sits on top of your tape to give you a straight edge to tear against. I use it for masking tape personally and it works great. Chamfered edges make it comfortable even when down at the end of a roll, it has a small depression for your thumb to sit in, and 2 slopes so you can use this whichever way around you'd prefer - the slopes can also be useful for picking away at the end of the tape to get started.
