During my ankle joint fracture, I have come across different annoying situations with my crutches:

  • leaning them against the wall (down they go)
  • awkwardly holding crutch number 2 while using crutch number 1 to support myself during a stair climb (my poor wall got hit more often than I can count)
  • putting them on the ground in an orderly fashion (yeah of course I did that, everyone does, everyone is so tidy)

So I decided to do something about it. Of course you can just buy stuff on Amazon, but hey, where is the fun with that? So I fired up FreeCAD, let the inspiration flow through me (by Amazon) and modelled something that should do the trick.

And here you go.

Just print two of these bad boys, attach them as shown and there you go! You still need crutches! But at least it should be less annoying.

Suitable for crutches with an outer diameter of 22 mm. One additional M4 nut as well as an M4 bolt (30 or 35) needed per clip fasten it to the crutch.
