Once you've cut out the 6 inch circle you can place this inside and scribe a perfect 8 inch circle.
The lip helps center the circle on the hole. 1/8 inch thick for rigidity
Alternatively, you can lay masking table around the hole then use this tool to cut the masking tape to get that perfect 8 in mask.
Should just barely fit on a mk3. You may have to remove the skirt or reduce the skirt distance
