Made this to transport coffees from the vending machine at work without spillage. To my surprise, it works very well and I can now run down the stairs with four cups without spilling a drop. It was more of a project to put into practice some ideas and design/print things I'd learnt so was quite chuffed it actually works!

I printed the whole thing in PETG except for the files called ‘wedges’, ‘lower array plate’ and ‘upper array plate’ which were in PLA. The wedges are for securing the base of each gyro section so you need to print 4 for each gyro.

The rest of the assembly requires 8 or 12 m3 bolts depending on how solid you want it to be (max 20mm) and 6x m3 bolts (8mm-10mm) and nuts for each gyro section. The lower the profile of the nut and bolt head, the better. I used locking nuts which have worked fine, but leave very little clearance, and also reduce the internal space for cups of larger diameter. If the inner face nuts are flush, you  can fit a standard can size. Maybe better to use standard nuts with some threadlock.

Parts F1, F2, F3 and F4 are just some feet added retrospectively and are printed in TPU for grip.

I may possibly adapt this in the future to hold pint glasses and further develop this for beer drinking!
