This misleading temptation to construct the pyramid with the small pyramid at the top will not work. Finding an alternative path to a solution is not hard, but maybe a little surprising. This is a good 3D visualization puzzle for children.
I did not make this puzzle up. I am experimenting making various designs in OpenSCAD using a Rust library I am developing.
Printing:
All of the pieces should print fine without support. The maximum overhang is 45 degrees.
