Summary
This set includes two adorable Minecraft office supplies, a Creeper pencil sharpener and a chest shape sticky note container. They are easily to make and so cute that they will literally make your day! The overall dimension of the Creeper pencil sharpener is 5cm x 5cm x 5cm, including a 5cm x 5cm x 0.5cm lid and a 5cm x 5cm x 4.5cm box. And the overall dimension of the sticky note chest is 10cm x 10cm x 10cm, including a lid and a box. This is a team project, my partner and I take turns cooperating to make these office supplies. Assembly
Creeper pencil sharpener
Part list:
box, lid, face insert pieces, pencil sharpener
- Plug the pencil sharpener into the hole.
- Insert the face insert pieces.
- Put the lid on top.
- Paint the pencil sharpener’s surface black.
Sticky note chest
Part list:
box, lid, insert pieces, chest lock
- Fixed the box and the lid.
- Plug each insert piece into its corresponding groove.
- Hot glue the chest lock to its corresponding groove.
Design choice
We came up with the idea of making Minecraft theme office supplies because we thought it would be fun to make these Minecraft blocks into useful creative office supplies.
Creeper pencil sharpener
In the initial design the walls of the box are much thicker, the thickness of a wall is 1cm. We reduced its thickness, so there will be more room to contain the pencil shaving.

In our initial design we didn't have a structure to hold the pencil sharpener, instead, because we have thick walls we thought we could simply hot glue the pencil sharpener to the wall. After we reduced the thickness of the walls we added structure to support the pencil sharpener.

Sticky note chest
When we made our initial design, we thought about painting the frame of the box black rather than making the box and the insert pieces separately. However, we thought it wasn’t the best choice after thinking the plan over.
In our initial plan, the hinge should be separate from the box and the lid. But when we started actually making the project, we thought it would be better if we simply made the box and the lid based on the hinge.

Our initial design didn’t include a groove to glue the chest lock, we added that so there won’t be any glue on the outer surface and you won’t see glue from the side view.
